The RiJe Dysphagia Cup is a 250 mL drinking cup for people who need the volume of each mouthful controlled. A patented mechanism inside the cup releases one measured portion at a time, set before the cup is filled and adjustable from 3 mL to 15 mL, with the next portion becoming available two to three seconds after the cup is returned upright. A cut out at the rim provides clearance for the nose, so the user can drink with the chin in a neutral position instead of tipping the head back. The cup can be used from the rim or with a straw, takes hot or cold drinks, and suits thin and nectar thickened liquids at IDDSI levels 0, 1 and 2. Two large ergonomic handles assist grip, and the cup is dishwasher safe.
