The Allegro General Purpose Sling with Head Support is a full body sling for use with a mobile or ceiling hoist fitted with a yoke attachment, and it adds upper body and head support for a person with limited head or trunk control. It is made from polyester fabric, or from mesh where bathing and quick drying matter, with internal padding at the pressure areas. The sling fits around a person who is in bed or seated in a chair, and Allegro recommends it for lifting from the floor and for general lifting of the less secure patient. Webbing loops of several lengths are provided at each connection point, so the carer can choose a laid back posture or, using the shortest loops, a more upright and higher lift. Loops are colour coded by size.

Head support is the point of difference here, making the sling suitable for the person who cannot reliably hold the head up, including after a fall to the floor. Colour coded loops make the right size quick to identify in a facility holding several slings, and the choice of multiple loop lengths lets a carer set the recline angle to the person rather than the sling dictating it.
