This version of the Allegro Standing Transfer Sling uses key-hole fastenings, for standing hoists whose lift arms take key-hole style attachment points rather than webbing loops. The sling is designed for a person who can bear weight but needs some help to rise, giving support from waist level to mid shoulder while the arms remain free, so the hands can reach the lift arms naturally during the stand. Allegro recommends it on standing hoists for weight bearing patients only. Clothing stays easy to move for toilet transfers, and an accompanying torso belt, in a buckle or Velcro version, holds the sling in place and prevents it riding up the back when fuller support is required. It is produced in fabric in three sizes, medium, large and extra large, and carries a safe working load of 200 kg.
