The Allegro Salsa 200 is a mobile standing hoist that assists a weight bearing but less able person to move from sitting to a supported standing position, and to transfer over short distances in that position. The patient is fitted with a standing sling, places the feet on the footplate and the shins against the knee pad, and the electric lift arm then raises the person between 88 cm and 168.5 cm while the arms stay free to hold the frame. Base width is adjusted electrically from 66.5 cm closed to 103 cm open so the legs pass around a chair, wheelchair or toilet, with 13 cm of under-bed clearance. The footplate is removable, knee pad height is adjustable, and the hoist is rated to a safe working load of 200 kg.
