The Allegro Sonata 150 is a compact mobile patient lifting hoist intended for domestic use, or as a lightweight lifter in institutional care, with a safe working load of 150 kg. A powered actuator built with LINAK components raises and lowers the yoke between 42 cm and 173.5 cm, so a patient supported in a sling can be lifted from the floor, a bed or a chair with the one machine. Allegro's SPACE LINK geometry creates more room for the patient than the small footprint suggests, and allows the patient to be rotated through 360 degrees at full lift height rather than the hoist being repositioned part way through a transfer. The legs open from 60.5 to 107 cm externally to pass around chairs and bed frames, by three-position manual adjustment or by powered control on the electric leg spread model.

The combination of a small footprint and generous patient space makes this hoist practical in a home where a larger lifter will not fit, while still covering floor, bed and chair transfers. Powered leg spread is worth considering where a carer works alone or on carpet, and the 41 kg frame breaks down to a 22 kg heaviest part for transport.
