The Breezy BasiX² in its self-propelled form is a folding aluminium wheelchair with large self-propelling rear wheels, so the person seated can move about without relying on an attendant. An axle plate sets seat height and centre of gravity together, giving a seat height between 42.5 cm and 51 cm, low enough for foot propulsion where arm strength is limited. Seat depth is adjustable from 41 to 46 cm, and the backrest extends from 41 to 46 cm with tension set strap by strap. Castor forks angle at 0, 3 or 6 degrees to keep the chair stable after those settings change. Seat widths of 43 cm and 48 cm are offered here, within a published range of 38 to 52 cm, with a maximum user weight of 125 kg and a net weight of 17.5 kg.

A self-propelled chair gives the user control over where and when they move, and this one supports that with a seat that can be set low for foot propulsion where arm strength is limited. The adjustable seat and backrest allow posture and comfort to be refined over time, and the wheels come off quickly whenever the chair has to be stored or carried.
