The Care Quip Overtoilet Aid Extra Wide is a reinforced powder coated steel frame that stands over an existing toilet to raise the seat height and add arm support, in wider seat widths than a standard over toilet aid. Raising the seat shortens the distance the user has to lower and lift themselves, which suits people with hip or knee injuries or anyone who needs greater seat height, and the ergonomically angled arms give a secure place to push from during transfers. It is supplied with a lift-back toilet seat and a removable splashguard, and non-slip rubber tips help the frame stay steady on bathroom floors. Width between the arms runs from 50 to 65 cm, with maximum user weights from 175 to 300 kg. A clip-on lid is available separately.

A higher seat and solid angled arms turn toileting from a difficult lowering and lifting movement into something many people can manage on their own, or with considerably less help from a carer. The wider frames and high weight ratings extend that to larger users, and the supplied seat and splashguard mean nothing further is needed before the frame goes into service.
