The Care Quip Swivel Bath Seat is a framed seat that sits across a bath and turns on its mounting, so a person can sit down while still facing out of the bath and then swivel to face along it before washing. The seat locks in both the transfer position and the bathing position, which means it holds still at the two points where stability matters most. Frame width adjusts to suit most baths, and powder coated aluminium keeps the seat light while standing up to a wet environment. The plastic seat is 45 cm wide with 54 cm between the arms, and holes moulded through it drain water away from the seating surface. Non-slip rubber feet hold the frame firmly in position during use, and the maximum user weight is 125 kg.

Swivelling is the point of difference. Sitting down while still facing outward is considerably less demanding than stepping into a bath and turning around, and the two locking positions mean the seat holds firm until it is deliberately released. The arms give an additional handhold for anyone who feels unsteady on a plain bathboard.
