The Care Quip Walking Belt is a carer assisted handling aid used when supporting a client during walking, repositioning and mobility transfers. It is fitted around the client's chest or waist and closed with a double sided hook and loop fastener, which lets the carer draw the belt to a firm, even fit before a transfer begins and release it quickly afterwards. Four large padded vertical handles run around the belt, so the carer can take hold from behind or from the side depending on how the client needs to be supported. Four sizes cover chest or waist circumferences from 69 to 133 cm and are colour coded for quick selection, with small in red, medium in yellow, large in green and extra large in blue. The belt is machine washable.
