The head board is the upholstered panel fitted at the head end of a Casero Series bed. The Movi Casero bed range brochure lists two styles, Oxford and Belgrave, and Alpha Lifecare's catalogue shows how they are specified in practice, because complete beds are coded by style and finish: a Mode bed with Oxford head and foot boards in Oatmeal, a Mode bed with Belgrave boards in Slate, a Vogue bed with Belgrave boards in Ebony vinyl, and a Plus bed with an Oxford head board and a standard foot board in Granite. Upholstery is offered in Oatmeal, Granite and Slate fabric or in Ebony vinyl. Since the head board is ordered with the bed, the style, the finish and the matching foot board are chosen together so the finished bed suits the room it will stand in.

Two styles and four finishes mean a powered care bed can be specified to read as bedroom furniture rather than equipment, which matters in a home or in a resident's own room. Pairing the head board with a foot board in the same style and finish keeps the bed looking consistent, and the panel itself gives a padded surface at the head of the bed.
