Homecraft Wooden Raisers are a set of four solid blocks that sit under the legs of a chair, bed or sofa to lift the furniture 7.5 cm (3 inch) higher. Raising the seat shortens the distance a person has to lower themselves into and push back up from, which makes getting in and out of a favourite chair or bed less demanding on the hips, knees and back. Each block is made from bamboo hardwood and has three openings of differing depths to suit varying furniture leg lengths, along with recesses of differing diameters that accept legs of 3 cm, 5 cm or 7.5 cm. Fitting needs no tools, since the furniture is tilted and each leg lowered into a recess. The set is rated to a maximum load of 380 kg.

Raising existing furniture is usually simpler and less costly than replacing it, and it keeps a person in the chair or bed they are accustomed to. The three recess sizes mean one set fits most lounge and bedroom furniture, and the bamboo hardwood construction with its 380 kg load rating allows the raisers to be left in place permanently rather than treated as a temporary measure.
