The EMST75 Lite is a handheld expiratory muscle exercise device from Aspire Respiratory Products that works on the same principle as the EMST150 but over a lower pressure range of 0 to 75 cm H2O. The user breathes out into the mouthpiece against a calibrated valve, which holds until the set pressure is reached and so places a measured load on the muscles used in breathing out. Beginning at a lower threshold suits someone who is not yet able to generate the pressures at which the EMST150 starts, and the device is used by musicians, wind instrument players, athletes, younger users, older adults and people whose respiratory capability has been affected by a health condition. Because the setting is calibrated, the level used can be documented. The device weighs 113 g and is small enough to be carried anywhere.

Its usefulness lies in the starting point. A trainer calibrated from zero lets someone build from a very low load rather than being unable to use the device at all, and the calibrated scale means each step up is a recorded figure rather than a guess. At 113 g it adds almost nothing to a bag, which helps keep training part of an ordinary routine.
