The Invacare Birdie EVO Compact is a mobile powered patient lifter for full body transfers between a bed, a chair or the floor, built on a smaller frame than the standard Birdie EVO for homes and rooms where floor space is limited. The person is supported in a compatible sling attached to the spreader bar, and the carer raises, lowers and rotates the load with powered controls while steering from the shaped push bar. The base is 108 cm long with a turning diameter of 121 cm, and the legs adjust between 52 cm and 81.5 cm to pass around chairs and bed frames. A high curved boom leaves room for the person at full height, the lifting range runs from 53 to 159 cm, and the safe working load is 150 kg.

At 31 kg this is the lightest lifter in the Birdie EVO range, so one carer can reposition it, fold it and put it away without help. The narrow base and small turning circle suit the hallways, bedsides and bathrooms of ordinary houses, and the tool-free folding frame and detachable mast make it practical where the lifter has to be stored out of the way between transfers.
