Features
The Homecraft Raised Toilet Seat with Armrests fits onto an existing toilet pan to raise the seating height and add armrests, reducing the distance and the effort involved in sitting down and standing up again. A moulded plastic base carries lift-up ABS armrests on a steel frame, giving the user something firm to push up from while still allowing the arms to be lifted clear for a side transfer. Three fixed seat heights add 6 cm, 10 cm or 15 cm, and the cross bars adjust in width for each seat position. The manufacturer notes that the correct height lets the feet rest flat on the floor with the hip joint higher than the knee joint, keeping both joints from bending past 90 degrees during recovery from replacement surgery. The lid is removable for cleaning and the seat may be wiped with disinfectant.
