The Invacare ISA Compact is a powered stand assist lifter that helps a person rise from sitting to standing and transfer between a bed, a chair, a wheelchair and the toilet. It is intended for people who can bear some weight but need support through the movement, and it is the smaller of the two ISA models, with a base 92.5 cm long and 53.5 cm wide. The person places their feet on the footplate, rests their lower legs against the padded support and holds the hand grips while the powered arm raises them. The TelescoLift arm sets to seven lengths and the lower leg support to six heights, both by hand and without tools, so the lifter can be matched to a recommended user height of 140 to 180 cm. The safe working load is 140 kg.

Adjusting the arm length and the leg support by hand means one lifter can suit several people, which is useful for a service with a changing caseload. The compact curved base works around armchairs and toilets where a larger stand aid would not fit, and the removable battery lets a spare charge while the lifter stays in use.
