The K-Dee II is a four section, electrically adjustable high-low care bed for home and facility use, supplied as a Single at 98 cm wide or a King Single at 116 cm wide, both 222 cm long. The handset raises and lowers the mattress platform between 33.5 cm and 72.5 cm, adjusts the backrest to 70 degrees, the knee break to 26 degrees and the leg rest, and tilts the platform up to 11 degrees at either end for Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg positioning. A lockout released by a magnetic key disables selected functions where that is appropriate. The frame is a modular pull-apart design driven by Dewert actuators, so it can be dismantled into sections for delivery, installation and storage, and enclosed individually locking castors hold it in position. Maximum user weight is 178 kg, within a safe working load of 213 kg including accessories.

Powered height adjustment lets the bed sit low for a safer transfer and rise to a comfortable working height for a carer, while the backrest, knee break and tilt functions turn repositioning into a one-handset task. Because the frame pulls apart into sections, it can also be delivered and installed in homes where a one-piece bed would never reach the bedroom.
