The Homecraft Leg Lifter is a webbing strap with a stiffened stem that allows a person to move a stiff or immobile leg using their arms. The upper loop fits around the hand and wrist so the strap cannot be dropped partway through the movement, while the lower loop is stiffened to hold its shape, which lets it be slipped over the foot or shoe without another person threading it. Pulling on the upper loop then lifts and guides the leg, giving enough control to bring it onto a bed, into a wheelchair or up onto a footstool.
