The BetterLiving Toilet Surround Mat is a shaped bathroom mat that fits around the base of the toilet to extend the covered area underfoot and help reduce the risk of falls in the bathroom. It measures 66 cm by 74 cm with a 30 cm wide opening, and the universal shape is designed to fit around most toilets. The surface is tufted nylon, solution dyed so that it resists fading and bleaching, with a crush resistant pile that traps dirt and extends the service life of the mat. An ultra low profile allows the mat to be left in place when a mobile shower commode is used over the toilet. A non-slip nitrile rubber backing resists oil and grease, anti-trip edging keeps the mat flat, and the mat is available in dove grey and beige.

Standing and turning in a confined bathroom is a point of genuine difficulty for many people, and a warmer, more secure surface across that whole area is worth more than a small mat in front of the pan. Because the profile is low enough to leave in position under a mobile shower commode, it does not have to be shifted and replaced at every use.
