Its layered construction uses ActiveX material that reacts to body heat and load, so the surface immerses around bony areas while the denser layers beneath maintain support and resist bottoming out. Charcoal within the ActiveX layer helps control odour and moisture, and the anti shear Bluetec cover works with the layers below to keep the skin dry and cool. Firm edges reinforced with XP Support give a stable surface for sitting and transferring, a contour latch holds the mattress in position on a profiling bed, and the flip free design removes the need to turn it. The mattress is 20 cm high and suits users between 30 kg and 200 kg.
