The Invacare Medley Ergo is an electrically operated profiling care bed for community, home and residential care, finished to look domestic rather than clinical. The sectioned mattress platform raises the backrest through 0 to 70 degrees and the thigh section through 0 to 24 degrees, with an 11 degree leg lift and 11 degrees of tilt in either direction, and the platform is shaped to limit shear and friction and the tendency to slide down the bed as it profiles. The mattress support mounts in an upper or a lower position on each bed end, giving two height ranges from the one frame; on the Medley Ergo Low these are 28 to 68 cm and 21 to 61 cm. The bed assembles without tools, weighs 64 kg and suits a user up to 145 kg.

Two mounting positions on a single frame mean the bed can sit low enough for someone to stand from safely, or be raised to a comfortable working height for whoever is providing care, without changing beds. Tool-free assembly and an available transport fitting make it practical to move between rooms or homes, and the profiling positions support sitting up to eat, read or be assisted.
