The Care Quip Plastic Bathboard is a moulded board that sits across the rim of a bath to create a firm seat at bath height. Instead of stepping down into the bath and lowering to the floor, the user sits on the board at the side and then brings the legs over the bath wall, which removes the need to rise from the base of the bath afterwards. The seating area is wide and contoured, and holes through the surface let water drain away rather than pool under the user. A removable grab rail gives something to hold during the transfer and can be adjusted or taken off, while an integrated hand shower holder and soap dish keep washing items within reach. The board measures 78 cm wide and 37 cm deep, has adjustable feet to fit most baths and is rated to 100 kg.
