Features
The Plate with Inside Edge is an adaptive dinner plate with a raised, curved lip around the inner rim that keeps food from sliding or spilling over the edge. The deep inner lip also gives the user a surface to load a fork or spoon against, so a meal can be gathered up single-handed without a second utensil or help from another person. The base is textured so that food does not slide together into one mass, and the plate is moulded from thick polypropylene that withstands cutting and scraping over long-term use. It measures 22.9 cm (9 inch) across, with a 2.5 cm (1 inch) rim and a 1.3 cm (half inch) inside edge, and the materials are free from BPA, phthalates and latex. The manufacturer lists it for self-feeding by children or adults, and for use in assisted living facilities, nursing homes and hospitals.
