The ROHO Single Compartment Cushion is an air cell wheelchair cushion from the ROHO range, now part of Permobil, supplied here in the High Profile cell height of 10.8 cm (4.25 inch), the tallest of the three cell heights offered in the range. The interconnected air cells form a single compartment, so air moves freely between them and the user settles deeply into the cushion rather than sitting on top of it. This DRY FLOATATION design lets the user sink in, matching the shape of the body across the contact areas while keeping the user stable, and moves with the user as position changes, which also lowers friction and shear. Inflation is set through one valve using an air pump. The cushions listed here range from 40.6 to 61 cm wide and 40.6 to 50.8 cm deep and weigh about 1.5 kg.

The tall cells allow deeper immersion, so the load of sitting is spread across more of the contact area for people who spend long periods in the chair. One valve controls the whole cushion, which keeps checking and adjusting inflation quick, and the cells continue to move with the user instead of holding one fixed shape. Four widths and depths are available for a closer match to the chair.
