The ReTurn7500i is a sit to stand transfer aid for users who retain some ability to bear weight but need assistance to rise and move a short distance. It is wheeled up to a bed, chair, wheelchair or toilet, the user places their feet on the marked base plate, which steps in at only 4 cm, and pulls themselves upright on the rising ladder while padded supports hold the lower legs. The unit then rolls and pivots to the destination, including in confined spaces such as a bathroom, before the user is lowered onto the new seat. A recess at the rear allows the base to be positioned under a wheelchair or close to a toilet, and the unit dismantles for transport and storage.

For someone with partial standing ability this supports an active transfer rather than being lifted, with a firm central grip to pull on. For the carer the task becomes guiding rather than lifting, and the unit turns on the spot in a bathroom where a hoist would not fit. Leg supports adjust so the fit can be set for the individual user.
