The Savanah Raised Toilet Seat with Lid fits over an existing toilet pan to raise the sitting height, shortening the distance a person has to lower themselves and reducing the effort of standing back up. Two heights are offered, adding either 5 cm or 10 cm, so the lift can be matched to the individual rather than applied uniformly. Adjustable brackets secure the seat to the pan, and the seat is designed to fit most standard toilets, so it can be fitted and removed without plumbing work. It is made of lightweight plastic with a slight downward slope toward the front to assist sitting and rising, and the fitted lid allows the toilet to be closed in the usual way. Both heights measure 41 cm wide by 40 cm deep and accommodate users up to 190 kg, weighing 1.2 kg and 1.4 kg respectively.

The choice of two heights is the main advantage, as 5 cm is often sufficient for someone with mild stiffness while 10 cm suits a person who needs a much shorter movement between sitting and standing, and the right choice can be the difference between managing alone and needing assistance. Retaining a lid also keeps the bathroom looking and working normally, which many households prefer.
