Features
The Standard Bedside Commode, listed by Care Quip as the Bedside Commode, is a free standing toileting chair for use beside the bed where walking to the bathroom is difficult or unsafe, particularly overnight. A commode bowl sits beneath the toilet seat and lifts out for emptying and cleaning, while a removable padded seat and padded backrest can be fitted in place of the toilet seat so the frame doubles as an ordinary chair during the day. Seat height adjusts from 47 to 62 cm to suit the bed height and the person using it, and the armrests are angled and set 24 cm above the seat to give something to push against during transfers. The powder coated steel frame measures 44 cm between the arms, sits on non-slip rubber tips and is rated to 125 kg.
