The Triton Wheelchair is the standard folding model in Care Quip's Triton range, listed as NC0270 and supplied in burgundy or titanium. The folding steel frame collapses for transport in a vehicle and for storage between uses, and the solid tyres never need inflating. The seat is 46 cm (18 inch) wide and 40 cm deep at a height of 49 cm, with a 43 cm backrest and armrests 24.5 cm above the seat. Both the armrests and the swing-away legrests are removable, which opens the side of the chair for sideways transfers and clears the front for standing transfers. Heel loops hold the feet in place, breathable padded nylon upholstery suits longer periods of sitting, and a pocket behind the backrest keeps small items to hand. Push handles sit at 90 cm, the chair weighs 19.1 kg and the maximum user weight is 120 kg.

The removable armrests and swing-away legrests matter most at transfer time, since both the side and the front of the chair can be cleared in moments rather than worked around. Maintenance is minimal because the tyres cannot go flat, and the frame folds down so the chair travels in a car boot and stores out of the way between outings.
