The Bodypoint Padded Aeromesh Calf Strap is a wheelchair positioning accessory that fits across the back of the lower legs to help keep the feet on the footplates. It attaches to the wheelchair frame and wraps around the calves, with easy-opening straps so that it can be released and refitted quickly. The pad is a stiffened, multi-layer laminate faced with porous Aeromesh fabric, a construction that holds its shape so that it resists folding and buckling, while the bound edges are finished so that the pad does not cut into the calf. The strap is the narrower of the two Aeromesh calf supports and is intended where moderate support is wanted without added bulk, whereas the wider Calf Panel spreads the load across a broader area of the calf. Three sizes are made, and this Large (part SP102 L) suits frame widths of 50.8 to 61 cm.

Feet sliding back off the footplates is a persistent nuisance for wheelchair users, and a calf strap addresses it with very little added bulk.
